Canada's casino hotels, ranked and scored out of five
Updated · hotel facts as of
A bed near a casino is easy to find in Canada. Far fewer are resorts in the proper sense, with the room, dinner, a show and the gaming floor inside one complex — and only that second kind made it onto this scoreboard. Twelve properties were marked out of 5 on six weighted headings; the ten best totals form the 2026 ranking.
Scores are editorial judgments built from what each hotel and our named publishers put on record. No hotel pays to be here, and no place on the list can be bought. Booking buttons go to each hotel's own reservation page unless a button says "partner link".
Keys pointed at the water, machines by the thousand downstairs
The heavyweight of the Canadian list. Fallsview hangs 372 keys over the gorge, all designed with the view in mind, then stacks underneath them a gaming floor of roughly 200,000 sq. ft. — 110 live tables, machines past 3,200 — plus two theatres (the OLG Stage alone seats 5,000) and around twenty kitchens and bars. No rival packs that much beside a waterfall.

Five stars between two lakes, outdoor water steaming in January
The desk's favourite place to unwind: a five-star Hilton plugged into Loto-Québec's casino, with indoor and outdoor water kept warm through every January, a 17-room Amerispa, a theatre seating 1,100 and upward of 1,400 machines. Parliament Hill is a ten-minute drive across the river.

The biggest key count we cover, staring at Detroit across the river
Windsor plays the numbers game: 758 keys in two towers, most pointed across the water at Detroit; a Colosseum where 5,000 people sit within 225 feet of the stage; a floor that listed 2,000-plus machines and 80-plus live tables in its latest fact sheet. And the location is genuine downtown — Riverside Drive, not a ring-road exit.

One SkyTrain stop from the airport gates, with Ramsay's steak upstairs
The car-free answer. River Rock shares a corner with Bridgeport station, so the Canada Line reaches the airport in roughly seven minutes and the downtown core in roughly eighteen. Behind the doors: 396 keys (some enormous suites), Ramsay's first Canadian steakhouse, a slide in the pool and boats moored on the Fraser.

Woodbine's old casino, rebuilt with 400 keys and a shuttle to Pearson
Toronto's old racetrack casino grew into a resort in 2023: 400 new keys, a concert theatre sized for 5,000, a pool plus sauna and steam, parking you do not pay for and a free bus from Pearson. The operator's boast is the slot floor — the biggest machine choice in Canada, it says.

Headliners in cottage country while the keys get redone
Mid-renovation and improving fast, Rama — on Rama First Nation land past Orillia — is a resort in a glow-up: keys renovated floor by floor since 2025, a new spa downstairs and three new kitchens — Gateway's Atlas Steak and Fish the pick of them. Headliners still drive up Highway 400 to play its Entertainment Centre, which seats over 5,000.

River Cree — Enoch Cree Nation's resort at Edmonton's western limit — mixes a big Alberta casino with 249 keys, twin hockey rinks, a free shuttle to the mall and Ramsay's first Canadian Hell's Kitchen — and a new tower of 18 storeys is under way.

Tsuut'ina Nation's resort sits where Calgary's south-west suburbs run out. Its 178 keys arrived in 2014, the west-facing ones with the Rockies in the window; the 2,500-seat Event Centre books acts worth travelling for; and Little Chief would hold its own outside a casino. The pool, though, stays shut until the 2026–2027 rebuild is done.

Big keys, a pool and room for the dog, a short drive from Magnetic Hill
Moncton's casino hotel, opened in 2010, gives you 126 keys from a generous 440 sq. ft., windows that open and a city or mountain view. Add the pool, a concert hall under the same roof, parking at no charge and dogs allowed, and it becomes the Atlantic casino stay to know — Magnetic Hill and the Hopewell Rocks within easy driving.

Winnipeg's practical option: 146 non-smoking Canad Inns keys joined to a casino with about 1,200 machines and a bingo hall, next to an event centre for 1,300. Useful rather than glamorous.
Langley City, Fraser Valley (BC) · No. 12 · 3.15/5 (C)
A 77-key Coast hotel bolted onto Gateway's casino in Langley City. Worth it for a steak at ATLAS, a floor that runs all night and free parking; not for a swim or a show, since there is neither.
