Fallsview Casino Resort: the Maple verdict

4.60 / 5A+

No. 1 of 12 in our 2026 ranking
Keys pointed at the water, machines by the thousand downstairs

The heavyweight of the Canadian list. Fallsview hangs 372 keys over the gorge, all designed with the view in mind, then stacks underneath them a gaming floor of roughly 200,000 sq. ft. — 110 live tables, machines past 3,200 — plus two theatres (the OLG Stage alone seats 5,000) and around twenty kitchens and bars. No rival packs that much beside a waterfall.

Book it forparking the car on Friday and not touching it again — view, headliner and gaming all under one roof.
Look elsewhere ifyour plan needs a buffet, or the under-12s mean to swim alone (the rules want a parent with them).

Keys and views

The desk's first piece of advice: do not take the cheapest key. The resort designed every room around what is outside it — the skyline, the American Falls or Horseshoe Falls — and its FAQ concedes that some falls-facing rooms frame both cataracts while others get one. Name the category, then ask reservations to note the outlook.

Deluxe rooms sleep you in a king, or in two queens, or in two doubles; a writing desk in a small lounge corner; safe, iron, hairdryer, coffee maker. Above them sit five suite types. Premier is the grand one (falls view, bedroom, separate living and dining rooms, oversized bathroom). Ambassador keeps the view and the bedroom. Executive drops to a partial view. Parlour faces the American Falls with a sofa bed and a second screen. Diplomat curves with the tower wall and puts a whirlpool tub in front of the panorama. Keys at 16:00, back by 11:00; in-room dining has a breakfast window (07:00–11:00) and an evening one (18:00–23:00).

The floor

ID and age 19 at the door — and the door turns back strollers and babes in arms. Infinity Bar serves on the floor itself, 09:00 to 01:50. Mohegan's Momentum card climbs Core → Ignite → Leap → Ascend → Soar. Drivers, note Ignite: from that tier the casino garage stops charging, whereas non-members pay the resort's daily rate.

Stage

Full marks from the desk. OLG Stage seats 5,000, and nobody sits more than 150 feet from the band. A Billboard ranking quoted by the resort names it Canada's leader among rooms holding 2,501 to 5,000. Avalon is the intimate room — 1,559 seats, 100 feet at most from the stage. Combined, the resort claims upward of 320 nights a year. December note: Niagara Falls Tourism lists the 14th season of Christmas On Ice at the Avalon — 32 shows between 26 November and 20 December 2026.

Kitchens

Two dining rooms show an OpenTable badge naming them among 2026's Top 50 Hotel Restaurants: the flagship steak-and-seafood room 21 Club, and the Italian Ponte Vecchio. Faster: Golden Lotus does Cantonese; there is a Noodle Bar, a Sushi & Oyster Bar and The Falls Deli; Bar Barista switches from espresso to cocktails at dusk. In the Galleria: Vittorio's, Lucky's, Shoeless Joe's, Paramount Fine Foods and a taproom from Niagara Brewing Company. Snags — the buffet is not operating, and Dragonfly, the nightclub of nearly twenty years, is closing with its replacement unnamed.

Water and wellness

Indoor pool, 07:00–22:00, entry on a day key; under-12s need a parent alongside. Gym 07:00–21:00. Treatments: Damara Day Spa, where a tourism ticketing listing shows a relaxation massage at C$158.

Getting in

Resort figures: Toronto 90 minutes by road, Buffalo 45; Pearson sits around 125 km away. GO trains leave Union Station for Niagara Falls on weekends and holidays. A free shuttle to Casino Niagara runs every 30 minutes, 16:00 to 00:45, Friday–Sunday and on show days. The garage holds 3,000-plus cars; EV charging — six points on P5, four on P1. Animals: service animals only.

Desk verdict

One casino-hotel night a year? Spend it here, and spend it facing the falls. Fix the category, plan around the stage calendar, and join Momentum before arrival so the garage cannot ambush you.

Finding your way there

If you're coming from Toronto you'll most likely drive; if you're flying, Buffalo is the closer big airport, with Hamilton a handy third option.

  • Coming from Pearson. Count on about an hour and a half for 125 km, says the Niagara tourism office — and maybe twice that when traffic is heavy. Watch for Exit 30 (Hwy 420) off the QEW, then make a right onto Stanley Avenue. Map the drive ↗
  • Coming from Buffalo. Around 45 minutes, the resort says, with a bridge crossing into Canada along the way; Exit 27 at McLeod Road brings you to Stanley Avenue. Map the drive ↗
  • Coming by train. If you'd rather not drive, GO trains reach Niagara Falls GO on Bridge Street. GO says there are no local buses from that station, so plan on a cab to the resort. Map the transit trip ↗

Driving in? The garage has room for 3,000-plus cars. You pay when you leave (unless you're Ignite or above), and the price goes up on weekends, holidays and concert nights.

Quick questions about Fallsview

Will every Fallsview room give me a falls view?

No. Some keys look at the skyline, and the resort says certain falls-facing rooms see both falls while others see one. Choose a falls-view category and have the outlook noted.

Is a buffet running at Fallsview right now?

Not at present — the resort's dining page says so.

Where can children go at Fallsview?

Everywhere but the gaming floor, which is 19+. Under-12s swim only with a parent present.
