How Maple Casino Hotels scores a casino hotel

A Maple score is a weighted average of six headings, each marked out of 5. Weighting stops one dazzling feature from carrying a resort to the top: a famous stage cannot hide a tired room.

The six headings, in plain terms

The weighted total becomes a letter: A+ from 4.50, A from 4.30, A− from 4.10, B+ from 3.90, B from 3.70, B− from 3.50, C+ from 3.30, C below that. One hotel a year gets the editor's choice badge; it is the stay we would pick for ourselves and need not be the top scorer.

Where facts come from

Order of trust: property and operator websites; then tourism boards and hotel brands; then newspapers and Wikipedia, always named. Two publishers in conflict (Lac-Leamy's key count, for one) means both numbers go on the page. A fact no one publishes stays blank — we do not estimate. We last verified hotel facts on 23 October 2026 and the openings log on 28 October 2026.

Full disclosure: nobody on the desk slept at these properties for this edition. Read the verdicts as research from published sources.

Money and independence

Scores are never sold, and no hotel sees its review before publication. The site earns from partner links — casino-site commissions on our two online casino pages, and hotel booking partners where a button is marked "partner link". The details are on how we make money.

Corrections

Things move: kitchens shut, pools reopen, fees creep. Send what you have spotted to [email protected]; we check it against the publisher, correct the page and change its date.
