Cascades Casino Resort: the Maple verdict

3.15 / 5C

No. 12 of 12 in our 2026 ranking (outside the top ten)
77 keys, a proper steak, no pool and no stage

A 77-key Coast hotel bolted onto Gateway's casino in Langley City. Worth it for a steak at ATLAS, a floor that runs all night and free parking; not for a swim or a show, since there is neither.

Book it fordinner and a few hours on the machines out in the Fraser Valley.
Look elsewhere ifswimming or a show is on the list — neither exists here.

Casino plus Coast

Cascades dates from May 2005, a Gateway Casinos property in Langley City. Beds are in a separate building, the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre, which has 77 keys (refreshed 2018): standard Coast rooms with a king or with two queens; a corner Queen (plus sofa bed) or a roll-in-shower accessible Queen; or one of two suites — Executive, with a balcony, or Hospitality, with its own wet bar.

The floor

80,000 sq. ft., open 24 hours, 1,000-plus machines, plus blackjack, roulette, poker and bingo. Bingo moved into the 420-seat Summit Theatre in 2018, which is why there is no show room.

Kitchens

Dinner means ATLAS steak + fish, the brand Gateway saves for its best casinos. Match Eatery & Public House books DJs and bands; The Breakfast Room serves hotel guests; Sundays from 11:00 a brunch buffet takes over the convention ballroom. Glacier Bar: 11:00–02:00.

Practical

No pool, the hotel says so outright; the gym is 24-hour. Keys 15:00, out at noon, parking free. Pets with prior approval: C$25 for one, C$40 for two, nightly. YVR ≈ 1 hour by car, Abbotsford airport ≈ 30 minutes; the zoo (Greater Vancouver) and the village of Fort Langley are both short hops.

Desk verdict

Dependable for a local night out, with a tidy little hotel attached. It is not a resort, does not pretend to be, and scores accordingly.
