What you get
Canad Inns gives it a long formal title (Destination Centre Club Regent Casino Hotel), and the casino beside it is one of the pair Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries operates as Casinos of Winnipeg. 146 non-smoking keys over six floors, which an AAA inspector called "modest"; the desk agrees. Types: Two Queen, One Queen, One King, One-Bedroom King Suite.
The floor and stage
Around 1,200 machines, counting progressives and electronic table games; a bingo hall; and live tables every day from 17:30 until 03:00.. Manitoba plays at 18. Since 2014 a 1,300-seat hall, the Club Regent Event Centre, has hosted concerts and comedy. VLTs live in the hotel's Playmaker's Gaming Lounge, 09:00 to midnight.
Kitchens
Aaltos: themed dinner buffets Thursday–Sunday 17:00–20:00 (turkey, roast beef, surf and turf, ribs and chicken) and a 10:00–14:00 Sunday brunch. Toukies is the casino lounge. Fast food? There is a McDonald's, and ice cream.
Practical
The casino parkade costs nothing. Airport ≈ 15 km / 25 minutes. AAA gives 16:00 check-in, 11:00 checkout and no pets. The Stay & Play rate is worth requesting — each Club Card holder gets C$15 to play with.
Desk verdict
Right for an Event Centre gig or a night of gaming; wrong for a resort break — hence its place outside our ten.

If you're flying into Winnipeg, you'll cross most of the city to reach Club Regent in the east end.
