2026 ranking

Canada's top 10 casino hotels for 2026

Page revised · data checked

Plenty of Canadian casinos have a hotel next door. Far fewer are true resorts, where the room, dinner, a show and the tables all sit in one complex. We ranked only the second kind: twelve properties scored on six weighted criteria, from rooms to access, with the ten highest totals making the cut.

Every score is an editorial judgment built from what the hotels and named sources publish. Hotels don't pay us, and positions in the ranking can't be bought.

The ten, in order

  1. Fallsview Casino Resort — 9.3
  2. Caesars Windsor — 8.8
  3. Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto — 8.7
  4. Hilton Lac-Leamy & Casino du Lac-Leamy — 8.6
  5. River Rock Casino Resort — 8.5
  6. Casino Rama Resort — 8.2
  7. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa — 8.1
  8. River Cree Resort & Casino — 8.0

Niagara Falls, Ontario · est. 2004

9.3

The falls outside your window, a huge casino under your feet

Caesars Windsor

Windsor, Ontario · est. 1998

8.8

Detroit skyline views from the biggest hotel in this guide

Caesars Windsor is built on scale: 758 rooms in two towers, most looking across the river at Detroit; a Colosseum that seats 5,000 with nobody more than 225 feet from the stage; and a gaming floor of 2,000-plus slots and 80-plus tables. It's also genuinely downtown, on the Windsor riverfront, not beside a highway exit.
