British Columbia's casino hotels
Page revised · data checked
In British Columbia, BCLC manages the casinos and the Independent Gambling Control Office is the regulator. You must be 19, and since June 2023 B.C. casinos have asked every guest for government photo ID and checked it against the restricted-entry list. The two Lower Mainland casino hotels we review sit at opposite ends of the scale.

River Rock Casino Resort
Leave the car at home: River Rock sits by the Canada Line, seven minutes from YVR and eighteen from downtown Vancouver. You get 396 rooms (with some seriously big suites), the first Gordon Ramsay Steak in Canada, a water-slide pool and a marina on the Fraser River.
Cascades Casino Resort
Cascades is Gateway's Langley City casino, with the 77-room Coast hotel attached: a good steak at ATLAS, round-the-clock gaming and free parking, but no pool and no theatre.
