Casino New Brunswick: our review
Page revised · data checked
Moncton's casino hotel opened in 2010 with 126 rooms from a generous 440 sq. ft., windows that actually open and views over the city or the mountain. Add a pool, an on-site concert venue, free parking and a pet-friendly policy, and it's the obvious casino stay in Atlantic Canada, with Magnetic Hill and Hopewell Rocks close by.
Book it for: Maritime road trips with the dog, near Magnetic Hill and Hopewell Rocks.
Look elsewhere if: You want room service or a wide choice of restaurants — there are two.
Atlantic Canada's pick
East of Québec, this is the casino hotel to know. Moncton got its complex — casino, hotel and entertainment centre built together — in 2010, and Great Canadian Entertainment runs it.
Rooms with space
Size is the strength. A Deluxe King begins at 440 sq. ft.; a Deluxe Two Queen, at 490. Both come with high ceilings, opening windows, walk-in showers, 300-thread-count sheets and a city or mountain view. Suites step up through the 590 sq. ft. Studio Suite and the 795 sq. ft. Luxury Suite to the Marquis Suite on the fifth floor, which has two bathrooms and a private balcony.
Guests must be 19 to book or check in. Children can stay, but 19+ areas are off-limits to them. Times: in at 4 p.m., out by 11 a.m. There's no room service for now.
Tables, poker, slots
Choose from blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette and I Luv Suits. The private poker room, "the Lighthouse", opens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. New slot titles arrived in December 2025 and again in March 2026. The free Rewards Club saves members money at the buffet and in the gift shop.
Food and concerts
Two places, both 19+: The Buffet, Wednesday to Saturday (Ribs & Wings on Thursday, AA Prime Rib on Friday, a few dollars off for members), and the Hub City Pub on the gaming floor. Shows happen at the Molson Canadian Centre, on site.
Pool, gym and pets
Under-12s need supervision in the pool and gym. Pets: up to two cats or dogs, each no heavier than 50 lb., at $40 per night — but not in the pool, gym or restaurants. Parking is free; have your car's make, model and plate number ready at check-in.
Day trips
The hotel recommends Magnetic Hill and its zoo, TreeGO, Tidal Bore Park and the Capitol Theatre; Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy is within day-trip range.
Our advice
Roomy, pet-friendly and with a pool — a smart road-trip stop. Just plan to eat out in Moncton at least once.
