Fallsview Casino Resort: our review
Page revised · data checked
Fallsview earns its reputation on numbers: 372 rooms aimed at the falls, a 200,000 sq. ft. floor with 3,200-plus slots and 110 tables, the 5,000-seat OLG Stage plus a second 1,559-seat theatre, and more than 20 places to eat. No other Canadian casino hotel offers that combination — or that view.
Book it for: A no-car weekend that bundles a falls view, an arena-size show and a big gaming floor.
Look elsewhere if: You count on a buffet, or your under-12s want the pool to themselves — a parent has to be in with them.
Why it sits at No. 1
Here the window is the headline act. By the resort's account, its 372 rooms and suites were each planned around a view — of Horseshoe Falls, of the American Falls, of the city, or of some mix. Downstairs is one of Canada's biggest gaming floors (about 200,000 sq. ft., 3,200-plus slots, 110 tables), wrapped by two theatres and more than 20 places to eat. Leave the car in the garage when you arrive; you likely won't touch it again before checkout.
Booking the right view
Read the room names carefully. Deluxe rooms point at Horseshoe Falls, at the American Falls or at the city, and sleep you in one king, two queens or two doubles; each has a desk in a sitting nook, plus a coffee maker, safe, iron and hairdryer. One line in the resort's FAQ is easy to miss: certain falls-view rooms take in both falls, others just one. If scenery is the point of the trip, choose the category on purpose and have the view confirmed when you reserve.
Suites climb five rungs, and the top one is the Premier: a falls view, a separate bedroom, full living and dining rooms and an oversized bathroom. The Ambassador keeps the falls view and separate bedroom without the extra rooms. An Executive trades down to a partial falls view but still has its own bedroom. Parlour suites face the American Falls and add a pull-out sofa and a second TV, while Diplomat suites follow the tower's curved outer wall, with a whirlpool tub and panoramic falls or city views.
Clock times: in at 4 p.m., out by 11 a.m. In-room dining takes orders from 7 to 11 a.m. and again from 6 to 11 p.m.
On the gaming floor
Bring ID, because the floor is 19+, and leave the stroller upstairs — babies in arms and strollers are refused entry. The Infinity Bar pours on the floor from 9 a.m. until 1:50 a.m. Loyalty runs through Mohegan's Momentum card, which starts at the free Core level and climbs through Ignite, Leap, Ascend and Soar. The perk that counts most here is parking: Ignite members and above park at the casino for nothing, while everyone else pays whatever daily rate the resort sets.
OLG Stage and the Avalon
Shows are the one category where Fallsview gets a perfect 10 from us. The 5,000-seat OLG Stage keeps every seat within 150 feet of the performers, says the resort, which also cites a Billboard ranking naming it Canada's top venue in the 2,501–5,000 capacity bracket. The Avalon Theatre is smaller at 1,559 seats, none of them more than 100 feet back. Between them they stage 320-plus shows a year, by the resort's count. Visiting in December? Niagara Falls Tourism lists 32 performances of Christmas On Ice at the Avalon from November 26 to December 20, 2026 — the show's 14th season.
Restaurants, bars and the Galleria
Two rooms show OpenTable's "Top 50 Hotel Restaurants 2026" badge on their pages: 21 Club Steak & Seafood, the signature, and Ponte Vecchio, the Italian. The rest of the line-up runs to Cantonese at Golden Lotus, a Noodle Bar, a Sushi & Oyster Bar, The Falls Deli and Bar Barista, which swaps espresso for cocktails at night. Stroll the Galleria for Shoeless Joe's, Vittorio's, Paramount Fine Foods, Lucky's and a Niagara Brewing Company taproom. What's missing: a buffet, which the resort isn't running at present, and soon the Dragonfly nightclub, closing after nearly 20 years with an as-yet-unnamed concept to follow.
Pool, gym and Damara Day Spa
Swim between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. with a pool key issued for the day; kids under 12 need a parent beside them. The workout room keeps 7 a.m.–9 p.m. hours. Treatments are by Damara Day Spa, where one tourism ticket listing prices a relaxation massage at $158.
Roads, rails and parking
The resort pegs the drive at 90 minutes from Toronto and 45 from Buffalo; Toronto Pearson is about 125 km off. GO trains leave Union Station for Niagara Falls on weekends and holidays. Fridays to Sundays, and on show days, a free shuttle runs to Casino Niagara every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. until 12:45 a.m. The garage takes 3,000-plus cars and has ten EV chargers — four on P1, six on P5. Animals: certified service animals only.
Our advice
If Canada gets just one casino-hotel night from you, spend it here, and spend a little extra on the view. Book a falls-facing category, set your dates around the show calendar, and join Momentum before you drive in, because parking is where an unplanned bill grows.
What travellers ask us
Do all rooms at Fallsview face the falls?
No — some face the city. Among the falls-facing rooms, the resort says some see both falls and some only one, so pick a falls-view category and confirm it when you reserve.
Can I eat at a buffet at Fallsview?
Not currently: the resort's dining page says no buffet is operating at the moment.
Is Fallsview Casino Resort OK for families?
Kids may go anywhere in the resort except the casino, which is 19+. In the pool, children under 12 must have a parent with them.
